About 9:30 this morning, some BT engineers arrived outside and with much noise and dust, started digging a hole outside our house. This was nothing to do with us. We’d not requested any work, but there you go. Continue reading “Notwork Woes”
I’d just like to ask people not to link me any YouTube content until they reverse their bigoted anti-LGBTQ stance. Being LGBTQ+ or an ally of is not “adult content”, and blocking LGBTQ+ content in the name of being “family friendly” is harmful to kids.
If they want to block adult content, then that’s fine, but they need to be more realistic about their filters. And until they do, I’d rather not be reminded that they exist.
There is so much I wanted to do today by the time Louise got home from work, but most of them required a lot of preparation and in some cases shopping. Unfortunately, I was unwell over the weekend†, and while I managed (mostly) to do what I needed to, any extras were pushed to the side. Continue reading “Valentine shennanigans”
at the turn of the year, I said that I wanted to lose weight and cut down on alcohol (among other things), the plan being that cutting down the alcohol would help the weight come off quicker. Well, I did! Now, I drink roughly half as often as I did then, and when I do, I drink about half as much. Little else has changed. I don’t eat any more, nor less. I don’t take any more or even less exercise… You’d think I’d get a slow but steady loss of weight.
So why have I gained more than 5 kilos? *sigh*
There’s one thing that really defines post-operative life, it’s dilation. It’s uncomfortable, messy and way too frequent. It’s the first thing you think of in the morning, the last thing you think of at night and well, most of your day revolves around it for at least the first few months. For me, it’s been a couple of weeks since the operation, and a week since dilation began. I have plenty more time for this. So if you’re likely to be squicked out by biological descriptions, then I’d advise not reading further. It may be NSFW too, depending on what I decide to include. Continue reading “Your Plastic Pal Who’s Fun To Be With†”
Just so you know, I’m bored. It’s not so much that I have nothing to do, but that I can’t really do any of it. It’s uncomfortable even to sit in a chair for very long (though thick cushions help), so I end up back on my bed which is suboptimal. Continue reading “Recovery’s a bitch”
This blog seems to be getting loading problems. I’ve seen it and some of you have seen it too. I think it’s due to database caching, but I’m not sure. I am looking into it, but since it’s at a shared hosting provider there’s a limit to what I can see.
I’ve upgraded the cache and started a rebuild, so hopefully things will improve. Meantime, please bear with me. I’m hoping I don’t have to change hosting providers.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, suspected to be due to complications in an earlier use of the facility, the mission has been scrubbed at V minus 30 minutes. The next launch window is on two weeks time on December 1st.
This report will continue at that time. For now all systems have been returned to a holding facility in East London.
