It’s 9:30 on Sunday night, and I’ve been here for five and a half hours. To say I am nervous would be an understatement. Louise left about 6, and food arrived about 35 minutes later.  Since then, I’ve been mostly on my own.

When I arrived, they had no spare beds (though apparently some appeared later) and they put me in a private room on my own. The plan is to move me tomorrow after surgery to a shared room with some other girls going through the same. Girls whom I have met already.

This time, I was better prepared. I procured a tv card for my tablet (works with phone too) and a memory stick of movies. I’m not sure what Netflix or iPlayer would do to my mobile data, so I plan to use that as little as possible… And since I can’t get a steady 4g signal, that’s probably for the best. I also have my kindle with books, some audio books and internet radio. I should be fine.

So I just had my blood pressure taken, and that’s probably it for the night now. So find something to entertain me til I fall asleep around about midnight.

They’ll wake me about 6 I think, but since I’ll be spending most of the day asleep, I doubt that’s going to be a problem.
