Usually, when I build things in KSP, they are big. However with the latest version, ion drives are useful, at least for small craft and so I’ve been thinking about small probes, as you’ll have seen it my last post here, TinyProbe is Tiny. This time, I decided to build a rover. It’s small enough, 1x2m and 0.6t mass. The lander needs a lot of work to be small enough to be delivered with an ion drive ship, but that’s for later. (more…)
KSP goes cute! Updated ion drives give you 4 times the thrust for about half the fuel and electricity usage.
So this week has been crazy busy! Yesterday I had to go into Training Link early due to some students needing extra supervision. I had extra paperwork to prepare for the Jobsworth Centre and well, had household chores too, not that I got very far with those. Today was Jobsworth Centre and more Training Link this afternoon, tomorrow and Thursday I have yet more Training Link stuff since PCs need repairing/rebuilding. Finally, at some point in amongst all this, I need to get a blood test done. (more…)
